Description
I know i did promise ill use background on this drawing but i struggled to make a functional background so i endet up scrapping the idea of making one. Ill do a location driven drawing next to compensate for lack of background here. But aside from that i think this drawing turned out somewhat well.

associated lore:There are three major realms Earth(the one we live in),Spirit realm(i will explain this one in some of my next drawings), and last Hell. Hell is a large harsh land made out of 7 layers. Each layer here provides different but always a harsh clymate. Hell is inhabited by demons a class of beyngs alighned with local magic. Instead of functioning like normal living beyngs native residents of hell in theyr true nature are simply a soul which coats itself in extremely unstable energy it produces. After amassing enought energy these souls can make themself a physical body which reflects theyr kind,power, and personality. If a demons physical body is lethally damaged the soul can travel back to hell and begin amassing energy to reform theyr physical body. If dead demons corpse was only lightly damaged then the regeneration may only take few weeks howewer if the demons corpse was completely destroyed(lets say it was eaten after beyng killed) then this process may take centuries or the process can be too difficult for our demon and instead of reviving they can fade into beyng just some dormant energy. I should note that general power of target demon is important as lesser demons may struggle heavily while highter ones can consider death as a minor delay.

Red demons: Red demons are the most common kind of a sentient demon found in hell(making roughtly 87% of sentient demons). While theyr looks can wary heavily they always share seweral traits which can help identify them. They always have:red fur,horns,humanoid appearance,either hooves or feet with 3 digits only. Red demons are responsible for majority of civilization in hell with majority of theyr cities located in 4rd and 3rd circle. All demons in hell in technicality belong under a single king which is meant to rule them all but in truth the demon king is only present to amass armies of hell to fight the spirit realm or to judge archdemons other from that Hell is ruled by a large number of warlords which constantly fight one another for territory and nothing else. These demon wars are a bit different to human wars as demons even when in war with one another dont close theyr trade routes and are always willing to stop warring immediatly if a war with spirits may be nearby. Demon wars dont have much devastation among theyr cities and for the most part theyr wars are all about whose army is bigger and/or stronger.

Red demon mentality: Red demons and theyr culture is driven by ambition and need to prove themself. Red demons constantly seek a way to improwe and prove themself to be better than majority of theyr kind. Training hard enought to ascent to a highter demon is a thing majority if not all of red demons seek and plan to achvieve.This attitude is not limited just to physical might it also expands(but is not limited to) craftmanship,technique, intelligence.

Demon magic: Demons are beyngs of hell magic a extremely unstable kind of magic which is in core based around chaos, change and ambition. Hells magic is a thing all native creatures in hell can use but also humans(if they have either at least one demon in ancestry or they visited hell once). Demon magic can be used for many things but most commonly it is used for:enhancing of physical strenght,creation of fire,teleportation to hell,temporal increase of density of objects or living beyngs(this provides strenght and increased toughtness)

demon relations with humans: Red demons do have suprisingly good relationship with humans. Many trade routes between major hells cities and human cities are present and many demons like humans because they can compensate the fact that theyre physically weaker with usage of tricks and magic. Demons also like buying more complex technology from humans because theyre considerably less developped in technological sense. Archdemons and Archmages are usually similar in power and they like cooperating because one can compensate the weakness of the other and Archdemons can teach archmages advanced combat techniques while archmages can teach them in some advanced magic. Demons newer had a large scale war with humans
