Description My design of Captain Hook (which bears strong resemblance to the Jason Isaacs version, I think), and my design of Peter Pan (and Tinker Bell but she's really small there). Both of these are for my comic, Neverland, which I'm posting (ridiculously slowly) here on DA. Check it out if you have time. With all these ridiculous details I put on their clothes, I certainly don't have it.

Yuck! To stand with that one-handed, arrogant, lowdown, back stabbing vulture would be a real nightmare.

Very nice, but isn't Hook's hook on his right hand...? XD

I think Hook looks great! >w< I think Peter was a little younger in the book, but it's your choice to make him however you want him to be.

Actually, I agree with you when it comes to Peter. To be honest, he came out looking a little older than I intended in this particular piece. I try to keep him about 11-12, but he looks almost 13-14 here.

Yes, he does look a little too tall compared to Hook. I think if he were shorter it would make a better contrast. Haha I always make things end up looking younger or older than they are supposed to be >_<. It's so aggrivating! I do love Peter's clothing :3. Those feathers are cute and it all really show how much of a rascal he is XD. Good job with the messy hair too. I have a question- was his hair blonde in the book? A friend and I have been arguing about it...

They didn't specify his hair color in the book. I believe they may have said it was blonde in "Peter Pan in Scarlet" but in the original J.M. Barrie book, they didn't say. I went with red because I always thought that little red-haired boys looked the most mischievous. He was always a red-head in my mind.

Hahah I always swore that he was blonde..probably just because of the live action movie...*3* Which I love. Well, the world may never know what color it is XD. I suppose it doesn't really matter in the end, because everyone envisions him differently anyway.

I loved the live action movie too. I enjoy reading the books and stuff from the Peter Pan universe, so I was happy to see an accurate version of the book in movie form. I didn't like the Peter and the Starcatchers/Shadowstealers/etc. books because they weren't accurate enough. I especially was disappointed with the way they portrayed Captain Hook in those books. I wouldn't recommend them. I would recommend however, J.V. Hart's book "Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth". It's excellent. J.V. Hart was actually the screenwriter for the 91 movie "Hook" with Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams, so he had experience with Hook's character. It's a children's book, but it's very smart. I think you would enjoy it if you like Peter Pan. It gives a really good perspective on Hook in his youth.

I started reading Starcatchers, but I didn't finish it. It was okay, but didn't seem up to par with Barrie's book. The movie Hook was alright. I liked the whole twist of Peter finally growing up, but , like most movies, it had its cliches. Also, I wasn't too fond of Hook in that movie. There's some hidden tragedy in Hook as well as Peter. I think I'll try to find this book about Hook's youth ,though. It seems like such an interesting topic..and I do wonder what kinds of things he's done to make him who he is. If I think about it too much it'll drive me crazy . @_____@

I really liked Hook, given though that I'm a big Robin Williams fan. Even Spielberg wasn't satisfied with the second half of the movie though. I thought Dustin Hoffman played Hook pretty well (he's a marvelous actor anyways), but the script limited him. Jason Isaacs played a different Hook that was, dare I say, very attractive even though he was the villain. I feel like it helped the plot because he was symbolic of the temptation of adulthood. But yeah, definitely see if you can find the book. It's really great, and there's supposed to be a sequel out this year (though they've been saying that it would be coming out every year since 08).

I haven't read it, but from what I hear, there's a fanfiction that's supposed to be really excellent where it changes things up. I read a summary that says that Captain Hook is a man who's in constant search of his missing daughter Wendy and that Peter is a fey creature who steals children. I may try to read that if I have time.

Yes it did seem as if the first half was better and I did like what they did with Tinkerbell and the lost boys.

Wow...Captain Hook in search of a daughter. That is very interesting sounding.

Yay, more Neverland art! You really went to town on Captain Hook's coat! His hair looks awesome too! I like the little details on Peter, who's got what appear to be chinese coins strung from his belt! This is great!

Yep. I added those coins in just because I felt like he should jingle when he moved. I also find Captain Hook as the type to be a very decorated man, very proper.

Decorated is right! The jingling coins are brilliant!
