come on! your improvement is although (perhaps even more) incredible!
And yes and no; if I use a ref for a whole concept, iΒ΄ll write it besides the pic.
Hmm, but actually I always use some refs or more inspirations, for a special light or a color concept.
But mostly I just doodle around and not really learning to draw sth. (anatomy os sth.); for now

I was reading the comments, and I know what you mean about seeing so many mistakes. I feel the same way when I spend a long time on a painting. I'm never happy with my art, but I think that's true for a lot of people. Don't give up!
