okay usually when i warm up or practicing for a big project, im sketching circles, lines and other basic shapes, but to pull off something like this?! i could only dream...

That's an absolutely gorgeous butterfly. It looks amazing and even iridescent like a real one. The detail is awesome, all the way down to the hairs and such. I love the technique. Of course, the old windowsill itself has a lot of charm with the cracked, peeling paint and rough surfaces, as does the glass with spots of rain and perhaps some bit of schmutz to obscure the wet birch and other trees just a little more than the depth of field alone. The leaf came out nicely too, and it really is cool to have some living things to bring life into that old place.

Speedpaint!... SPEEDPAINT!! Are you kidding?!? I know of no-one, now or ever, who can re-create *perfect* textures, *perfect* shapes/perspective, *Perfect* lighting...
