I think they are already canon, since in the epilogue they are in the same position as Rayne and Laguna were in FF8 at the start, which eventually became canon ship. In Credits of Android / iOS version they are standing together with Cuore and look kinda like a family.

What's better is the fact that The After Years' ending kinda implies that there's something between them. I mean, I keep thinking of how Edge went to the
Feymarch to get Asura/Leviathan to visit Rydia in Mist. Also how Rydia is the first to reach Edge when his allies come to his rescue in the Battle with Ifrit.
Also there are some other scenes in that game that show that their bonds have grown since the original FFIV. My writer's intuition tells me that they're gonna end up together after the ending...

Either way, this is arguably the best Final Fantasy pairing out there... I really like this picture!

Indeed. Those two are perfect for each other only Edge's too rash and Rydia is too unsure about her emotions. They've been my OTP for 3 years now . Seriously, why are people so busy about the pairing of FFVII when they've got this... purity?!

Also, I love Rydia's hair. You really captured their shy love here!
