Based on a scene from Ginga Densetsu Weed manga volume 18.Ideals...in this world, where people kills each other, is hard to believe in ideals...
Killing other people isn't right. Never. We all have just one life, and it should be cherished. Taking that one life away from someone is wrong.
But still, everyday around the world, there's wars. People are killing their own kind. Why? Why we can't follow our ideals and stop this injustice?
Call me naive if you want. I've lived my whole life in safe, I haven't seen the war with my own eyes...
But it doesn't mean that I can't believe in ideals, does it?

What was your opinion on this part of the manga? There was a lot of debating about it, some people were angry at Weed others weren't not.

Jerome pretty much disobeyed his commander's order. While those hounds (Lecter and Thunder in anime) were going to back to Hougen despite their promise, Jerome did wrong when he blatantly killed them. Weed had every right to be angry at disobedient soldier.

I remember that moment. It was quite sad.
That the Weed was peaceful wasn't very annoying for me. It's his personality. Because of that, Yoshihiro Takahashi was able to do many cournerings in fabule. And then, it wasn't boring.
Weed is like most of people- everyone of us sometimes want to forgive someone, and don't know "do it? or not?"
'Cause Weed is a leader, he must be fair, and upright.
It's an attribute of very rarely disposition- being "born leader".
And Weed maybe has that. Surely because or his kin.

Right: in real life, there's really no right or wrong choices, so it's hard to do right decision. Weed did just like he felt right to do, and I'm fine with that.
