I'm highly suggesting to listen this while reading. I listened it over and over again while drawing this - and it fits perfectly to the mood I was looking for.
So...it took me six days to draw this thing. The battle you all have probably waited so eagerly. And I know that you'll be most probably really disappointed how this came out.
Four months after battling Blue...I finally challenged Red. You know already that month after battling Blue I really did nothing, but after catching Edmund, the intense training started. I rebattled all gym leaders over and over again, avoided deaths and killed every wild Pokémon in Mt. Silver I came across. My goal was to reach the same level as Red's Pikachu, that goddamn level 88 monster. It had been a while since I had battled Red in my HeartGold...
Finally, after three months of training, the whole team was at that level, and I challenged Red. At first I was pretty damn nervous. The battle unfolded...and after seeing that Red's team was actually more level 80 than closer to 90's...you can guess the rest.
The battles went pretty much like this, only the battles against the starters are shortened (those things just refused to go down easily).
Next, the last part...and after that, epilogue.

You can think whatever you want, but this comic is based on my artistic views and choices. Choosing music for certain parts of the comic is also part of that. If I suggest a piece of music to listen to, it's not any random choice, but something I actually picked the scene/update specially in my mind. Usually that music was also my inspiration while drawing the scene, too. I just want to people experience the comic just like I imagine it, so they can see my artistic views and ideas as they are. That is something very important to me.

A lot of people over estimate red due to his high level uber motherfucking pikachu but if u have a ground type no prob. Venasaur is motherfucking grass poison making it weak same with blastoise and charizard snorlax is just bulky as fuck and lapras is long as u have a electric or fighting type so don't let levels determine difficulty folks!!!!!! Now this is what u herd "Blahblahblah red blah blah blah level blah blaw"

Käytin hieman preussia hahmoissa joissakin kohtaa tuomaan kylmyyttä, ja kaikki varjostukset on tehty preussin ja mustan sekoituksella, mikä luo kylmää fiilistä.

but yeah, as people said before, it was a really cool battle, i love the lack of words, makes the pictures tell all there's to know, and then of course bazooka vs. pikachu that's just one of the things that were destiny... and then an unexpected landslide and a pair of glasses. i'll eagerly await the rest

I'm just thinking back to the first time I played through the original Silver, and Bruce, my killer Feraligatr who murdered everything in sight. Including Red and his team.
...a far cry to how much tougher Red is in Soulsilver.

Wow, actually you ground about as high as I did, except instead of going to 88 on everyone I ground my Garchomp (Got a traded-in egg instead of Togepi for story-reasons] to 90 and everyone else to 85-86. I probably should've done what you did though, Red STILL almost caused multiple deaths. And my best friend went and challenged him at 53-64 and had no losses at all, using only three Pokemon too...-___-"
Wow, you REALLY owned him. Any close calls, other than Taichi? Edmund REALLY got off lucky on Lapras, that thing had Psychic. It's a good thing that's the lowest levelled out of his team, if I'm recalling correctly. I must admit, your team is certainly made up of bulky Poke-folk. Who was the most difficult to defeat?
I'll have to disagree with you, this is about as far from disappointing as possible, the action was well-drawn and emotions conveyed, and the colors fit the scene perfectly. Can't wait for the last two parts...
But at the same time, I can. ;-; I'm happy that this Nuzlocke actually finished, instead of being cancelled as many HGSS nuzlockes seemed to be, but at the same time, it's sad to see YTWC's journey end.

Surprisingly, Venusaur was the hardest to take down. According to my memos, it was seven turns of Air Slash-Sludge Bomb-Full Restore until Red ran out of Full Restores and Ocario got that thing.
Lapras and Snorlax were easy, Edmund outspeeded and OHKO'd both with Close Combat.

I actually had a similar situation with Red's Venusaur and my Ninetales in my own run, though it had sleep powder mixed in. X.x" At least Red wasted his Full Restores on it, and Ocario is damn bulky special defensively, yes?
Edmund's strong, you made a good choice in that lil' timid cutie. That Snorlax is nightmarish if you can't take it out swiftly, and I imagine Lapras could've been as well.

Using earthquake on a mountion top full of snow is like trying to disarm a tsar bomb eith 2 minutes on the timer: it almost always nevrr ends well.
But the battle was great! Great thing I packed front row seats, except I can't get out due to the rock slide.

I still remember when I tried in Crystal battle Red, with level 60 Lugia as my strongest (and others were probably barely 50).
You can guess how that ended.

Hmm...I don't remember how I came up with the idea of a blind Pokémon...and I'm not that kind of person who always wants to use ultimate favorites, so since I already had Croconaw in my HeartGold, I of course went with my second favorite Johto starter.
