unlike contrary belief Ursula was not a type of mermaid. She was what one would call a Jerruillette. Basically a captivating human looking creature with the legs of an octopus who would make people fall in love with them to ensnare them. Typically shy creatures who haven't been known to actually harm anyone, at least on purpose. European in nature. It was said there was a sighting of one in 1756 when sailors saw what looked like a woman standing on the water. as they approached she fled to land. They followed her to a cave where they found this beautiful young woman. When they asked her name. She simply let out a high pitched shriek and fled yet again diving into the water. When the sailors followed there was no trace of her.
