Tamara Mei is the youngest child out of 8 other siblings, all of whom are a part of the Shiranui family. She lives with her mother, who is the leading scientist of the biggest manufacturer of Magitech, and her father is a politician in Arou's UN. They moved from the country of Taiyo to Owl City so her dad could live closer to work. This made her quite lonely without her parents around, so to cope with her parents' absence, she took up martial arts and ninjutsu self training, alongside learning magic. All that loneliness came to an end when she met Soko on her way to school. Eventually, he started joining in on her training sessions to help improve both of their fighting prowess. She then became one of the founding members and leader of the Wunderkinds, Okami, inspired by all of the anime and manga she saw when she was young.
