Phoenix Wright has a lot of great things going for it in terms of character design and variation, but you know what really bugs me? The severe lack of people of color, especially in the main cast.If I ever get around to making my own case with Case Maker, I think I’ll make a new Defense Attourney protagonist, who, for once, isn’t white.
Aaaaaaand she’s probably going to be a huge ripoff of Janelle Monae. Because is super dapper, and I love her, and it’s not like I can sell this game, anyway. XD

I love you and thank you for agreeing that the lack of people of colour is annoying! I personally plan to make a fan case too with lots of characters that are people of colour. By the way I love your art, its amazing!

I think the Phoenix Wright games are actually doing that anime thing where all the characters look white, but you're still supposed to accept that they're Japanese because fuck genetics and whatnot.
So technically they're all people of color. That's not really any better, but this way around it at least makes sense, since Japanese media is not known for a great deal of racial diversity. Or at least none of the Japanese media I've run across.

Well, the games were originally Japanese...and you know how much lack of POC exists in the Japanese media T_T We're lucky (unfortunately or fortunately?) to have sometimes POC characters pop up in Japanese media that at least don't look like racial caricatures and are characters with personalities, like Anthy and Urd.
This on the other hand looks awesome
