Description
Although I get the symbolism of her final outfit, visually I prefer Elsa’s more constrained queenly attire. It looks like something i could have designed, with all the black and capeyness.
Can we talk about Elsa’s powers, though? Making snow is just tip of the iceberg. (Spoilers ahead.)
Everyone focuses on Elsa’s freezing powers, which are admittedly awesome and beautiful and terrifying. She can not only create winter and storm, but send it away, straight back into the sky, clearing an entire city (country???) by completely re-arranging the weather.
But she is capable of something much more incredible- she can create sentient life. And apparently, it comes so easily to her that she even did it accidentally. Not even the Avatar can do that. She’s literally a goddess.
She was planning to live forever in a palace made of ice. What was she going to eat? Does she even need to? Did she also suddenly realize she can suspend her body in some sort of cryogenic state, like conscious hibernation? Even if she couldn’t, hunting should be easy for her since literally the entire landscape is at her beck and command and she could create snow servants to prepare the food for her.
Man, her subjects are really, really lucky she didn’t become a villain, because they would have been so screwed.

Think about it. Frozone (?) of the Incredibles needs existing water in the air to freeze. I know there isn't enough water vapor in the ballroom for the bottom half of a snowman.
Oh, and there's the matter of that giant ice crystal that floated in the air just before she dispersed it: you have any idea how much it WEIGHED? Do you have any idea how much damage that thing would cause if she, ah, just, y'know, decided to drop it?
Ohhh, you betcha they were "lucky" she didn't become a villain.
What bugs me are the people who think that evil!Elsa is so cool and awesome to think about. Yeesh, try living in it.

The only person who could corrupt her would be Emperor Palpatine. She would sing a twisted perversion of "Let it Go" and line her palace with frozen people she killed.

Yes, she does, but it would ultimately be sisterly love that redeems her. And since she isn't mostly machine, she would survive Palpatine's lighting(but would be seriously hurt by it).

I totally love your description AND your picture, and I must say, the emotions in her face here make me wonder what it would have been like had they chosen to make her a villain.

I have to agree with this sentence you have. Elsa's OP in a variety of ways; mainly of course her cryokinetic powers. But other than that, she is the queen and she's got a personality not to mess with. Though reserved and kind, once provoked she'll go gaga on yo' a**; and I mean that in a super-duper bad way. Good thing Anna dealt with Hans herself, if not Elsa would be the one... dundunDUN!

the ONLY complaint I had about her was they never went into that much detail on how she got her powers. Okay, yes she was born with them, but HOW? I fail to believe it just "happened" cmon i'll take any excuse "The mother took magical ice and put it in her glass of water and drank it while she was pregnant" better than nothing in my book.
other than that, she is simply an amazing Disney character, and she's surprisingly NOT a princess! Disney's finally moving foreward!!

How? Well, it's implied by some very-carefully-done analysis of some of the background details and translation of stuff in onscreen books that her powers MAY have come from an ancient curse on the royal family's bloodline that apparently was unsuccessfully removed by (or more frighteningly, possibly placed upon by) the trolls.

Personally I prefer her (arguably) simpler, more streamlined "ice gown" look, but otherwise I'm with you. I too wonder why more people don't mention her seemingly limitless, godlike power to create varied, sentient life at a whim. That really seems pretty damn significant! Which isn't to say that making whole palaces from ice in a matter of moments isn't impressive by itself.
Frankly, I'd be surprised if new religious movements didn't start sprouting up in and around Arendelle soon after the events of the film. There are certainly belief systems out there that've been founded on less.

(More Spoilers) You know who was also lucky? Hans was extremely lucky this was a Disney film. I think it's actually more realistic that, after doing what he did in front of witnesses, he would have been sent home as a Hanscicle.

Hahahaha, that's what I was thinking the whole movie. Also, even though she might not be a villain, she's still a queen, I feel sorry for all the neighboring countries, they've gotta be terrified, if she wanted to invade or extort them out of every last penny there'd be nothing they could do about it. Even assassination wouldn't work because she can create immortal super-soldiers that never have to sleep to guard her at all times.
Also I suspect that she doesn't need to eat or drink, she was on her own for at least a couple of days and I don't think she left the palace she created yet she didn't seem to be in any discomfort. I think her powers can sustain her, she can create life at whim I think she can probably keep herself alive.
