Argh, I couldn't stop myself from staying up till 5am to get this colored... I just had to see it finished! Pretty pleased with how it came out. I can't believe it's taken me this long to do a digital painting of my fav Avatar couple. XDRelated content

Maybe Azula was a monster. However, as far as Ty-Lee was concerned, she was her monster - Leash and all.

I rarely ship non-cannon, However I did enjoy this one, However I see them in my mind as a forlorn ship, one where Tylee doesn't return the feelings, what do you call a ship when one of them is crushing on the other that's not having it? lol. I feel like they'd have a very abusive relation ship, i mean it is azula we're talking about here. This picture in my mind would look exactly like this if Tylee was slightly less into and more concerned for her own well being.

I found this ages ago, I remember, while ogling Tyzula fan art in google images as I often do. And I saw it and it was literally the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen. (that sounds super weird, I know) but I was amazed. I got a Deviantart today and I found it today! That's so exciting.
Really brilliant. Like best Tyzula picture I've ever seen.

The coloring is gorgeous, and I like how clean (sort of...) it all looks. And the position of Azula's hand, and the fire, and the looks on their faces - it's just gorgeous.

That. Is flipping lovely. I love their expressions so much. Azula definitely looks like she's going to kill you, and Ty Lee looks rather sinister as well. Love the flame and the lighting, and eep, Azula's fingernails! Scary.

I love drawing Azula's talons, people often forget them whent hey draw her, but for me it's one of her most iconic character traits. XD

Yeah, I definitely love the talons. But I haven't looked at much "This is just Azula being crazy~" art, and in more shippy pictures, I think they're left out half consciously. Not exactly on purpose, but if you're drawing a picture where Azula is looking kind of sweet, the image probably works best if she doesn't have evil claws. So the brain just doesn't work them into the art.
I haven't decided if this is one-hundred-percent a fault, either.

I've read fanfic before where Azula had to grudgingly go and trim her nails, due to them not being especially suited for... romantic endeavors with Ty Lee. xD
Whenever I see pics of her without her nails, I just tell myself that's the reason, and it's all better. XD
Although actually, around the point where they take over Ba Sing Se, Azula canonically (and mysteriously!) loses her talons. I apply the same above excuse, it makes perfect canon sense to me...
