Edit : Adding some description as to why this reflects the song, for the sake of the contest. Though I really didn't want to cause I haven't posted any of my fanfic for these two. Anyways!
For the Gears of War fans they'd easily recognize that this is Prescott and Myrrah, leaders to the opposing sides to an all out genocidal war. Azura would have been the only place they would have ever met had Prescott failed to escape quick enough when Myrrah captured it. Their "relationship", if you would call it that, would be extremely complicated and hardly affectionate and sweet. Though given enough time together people can unexpectedly grow fond of someone. But these two would never get a happy ending. They've done too much in this war. Myrrah would eventually force Prescott to leave the island, neither of them confessing what they really feel now.
