I put this off to the last minute >.o;;; I'm sorry, I just had no idea how to manage this without totally mutilating their boobs D= *can't draw boobs* TwT Someone teach me? Because that's the reason there aren't many females in my gallery...

Because (IMO) it is the sexiest Yuri couple on the market 8D I find it interesting how Mai nearly has Yami's bangs and Isis is an Ishtar... like Marik... so... this is like the female version of Yami x Marik 
Shut up, that's how my brain thinks of it XDAnd no, Mai doesn't have a seashell covering up her boob, and neither does Isis, not that you can tell... but I really don't think this needs a 'mature' whatever warning, there's absolutely no detail and her hair's in the way D= Besides, Mermaids are creatures, they wouldn't have a socialized belief to 'cover up' anyway. I ran out of room on the paper to properly fit Mai, but I intended her to be swimming over Isis anyway 8D Like she's taunting / following her, probably for a kiss ^__^
P.S. - Those pearl/beads were murder to do D<

Those pearls may have been murder, but they look gorgeous. *_* I think just the...Isis' hair is my favorite part. It's all wavy and those pearls are so wonderful.

I love how you made Isis' and Mai's tails both different enough to be interesting, but similar enough to be like...the same...species? >.> I like how they're sorta tattered looking. It makes the...fins...look so soft and tender.
And I love the random jewelry. Especially the bangles (I have no idea what those are but the word is so much fun to say) around Mai's tail.
Just the way everything floats makes it seem so underwater and pretty. *swoons*
And I like those random...things...comin' outta their tails. The...spine/tentacle/skin piece things. 8D I've never seen mermaids drawn with those and I really like them!

Yuri = Sexy. Though unfortunately there's hardly any YGO yuri stuff that doesn't involve the Dark Magician Girl. ;-;
This picture is so beautiful. I love the way that you've layered Isis's hair to make it look somewhat like fins. Very fitting for blending them into their natural environment. And you've spent more time adding detail around the tails then most people would. =3 Skin colour blending is pretty too. It's nice how you've avoided the Disney style of seperating the torso from the fin and instead just have one part belnd into the other. Red was a good colour to use since it works well with Isis's tan.
And I completely agree with you about Mai's hair looking like Yami's. As much to the point of when I first saw YGO without knowing anything about it I actually thought she was his sister until I realised otherwise.

True, I tend to see a lot of DMG x Anzu or Mai x Harpie Lady, in doujinshi at least D= Yuri fanart is hard to come by as is... rawr.

The tails were what ate up most of my time actually, so I'm -very- happy the effort paid off =3 I wanted them to look less like fishtails and more like 'omg-mermaid-princess-tails!' 8D Because YRE grew up on The Little Mermaid, and so all mermaids are for some reason royalty >>;; My initial 'plot' for the picture revolved around Isis & Mai being princesses whose mermaid-tribes were warring over ownership of a specific sector of the ocean. Blah, blah, blah. They run across each other and fall in lurv

*Nods* I've seen a Mai x Harpie Lady one around, and plenty of misc pairings involving DMG. To be honest I've yet to see a YGO yuri doujinshi that doesn't involve one of the monsters.
It makes sense that it's hardly all glamour and thrones for mermaids, since they're portayed as a community like normal people they probably would have issues a lot like that of normal people, such a war like you said. Plus even in things like The Little Mermaid there were still mermaids/men who were classed as ordinary citizens as well as the royal family, I think.
I kind of thought it all the way through the Yami vs Weevil duel.

For some reason, this reminds me of an older "The Little Mermaid" storybook I had - it was the original telling of the story - and this piece reminds me of the artwork in the book I had. Very surreal, but flowing...like it captured the sense of the sea. This evokes that same feeling. Kudos,
