Description Hopefully this project goes under here....

The task for my design class was to get in a group and make an outfit out of reclable materials. My group got the prom outfit:

Your challenge is to design a prom outfit for a male or female. Your outfit must be glamorous and trendy but also comfortable and durable enough so you can dance in it. It must be made out of unconventional, found object, recycles materials.
Your team will be critiqued on innovation, client-theme specifications, durability and functionality, craftsmanship and team effort. Good luck!

We made the dress and the jewellery out of black and white garbage bags, (2 different) white duct tape, white and black electrical tape and paper clips (standard and spiral).

The strap and crosses in the front are electric tape, the upper torso and top part of the skirt are black garbage bags. The white side... *mind blank* is made out of weaved duct tape. Yuki had bought a roll of white duct tape the previous night but it didn't last. We took the teacher's, which was slightly different. Weaving it was a total pain, especially when we (Yuki and I) hoped to save time by not taping each box. Of course, when we put it on the judy, the holes gaped open...
The belt was white duct tape. The necklace was simply hooking two different types of paper clips together.

I forgot to take pictures of the back, which is a shame... Jenna and Monika took a long time stringing in a 1m shoelace in, and then Monika and Yuki took it out and used electric tape (to match the front). It was the x design, but tighter.

Although the weight of it is light, we forgot that when you dance, you will perspire, and sweating in garbage bags = the icky. Good point someone brought up at the critique.

Ahh, forgot to mention, we had 3 hours to complete this. (actually our group took 4.5 hours, but then again, most groups did, too ^^) Keeping in mind, this is probably one of the first times most of us have actually tinkered with clothing.

whooops! forgot to mention our notes:

it was actually supposed to be based off victorian, but we went through complications of material and time, and did the X's.
black/white theme (for our material choice= black and white garbage bags)

some other stuff i can't remember atm. XD
