In the beginning Meiji Era (Late 1800s) after the family had expelled a female member with her child the fortune of the family line seemed to have changed. Male children being born was higher than the chance of a female child being born. Though this seemed fortunate all female children seemed to have problems with their mental health claiming to see things and pregnancies or children with birth defects.

7 generations twelve girls born successfully.

Chiyo was the first girl to be born from her grandfather's line (her father was one of four boys), she did well in school and active in track and field sports clubs and events. She would see a shadow occasionally or her skin goosebump but nothing that would be classes as things her ancestors experienced, she seemed free until a school trip in her second year of high school.

Chiyo's high school was having a trip to Kyoto visiting historical sites and temples and stayed in an old building, the room she shared with classmates gave her goosebumps but she brushed it off thinking it was a draft. During the night in a fitful sleep she could hear a male voice but could not understand what was said, she thought it was the voice of a foreign tourist in another room and went back to sleep. She was awoken by a sharp pain and discomfort in her abdomen, she downplayed painful cramps so not to worry her classmates for the rest of the day. Whilst leaving a temple the school had visited she was approached by a priest and two temple workers who insisted she could not leave as there was something wrong with her and a specialist had been called whilst the school had been walking around the grounds.

This caused a small commotion with her teachers and the temple workers until they were approached by a man in a dark clothing, the cramps Chiyo had been experiencing suddenly became extremely intense she passed out from the pain.

Chiyo awoke in a small medical room with a female physician after a brief interview of explanation were her teachers were and a medical questions Chiyo was told she seemed to be hoarding a curse-spirit within her uterus. They could not be clear if it was hiding within there or an attempt at impregnation, either way they needed to exorcise the spirit within her. They wanted to ask her questions before they carried out the exorcism in which she was going to be anaesthetized for as it could be risky.

The exorcism was successful in eradicating the curse-spirit from Chiyo's uterus and she was allowed to go home to her family the following day. Her parents were given a brief and obscure reason for their daughter's health and commotion at the temple, though given the extended history of the family they worked out quickly an abortion had happened. The family's reaction was furious that their daughter had ignored their advice and blamed a boy Chiyo had just started dating though had been perfectly chaste.

Chiyo's life had changes after this incident, she stopped dating the boy to stop her families complaints and concentrate more on her studies and athletics. Though she noticed she had started to see things like monsters and creatures, several trying to follow her. She contacted a number she had been given after her exorcism and met with a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

It seemed that left over bits of the curse-spirit had been absorbed into her body, boosting a latent residue of cursed energy that ran within the family, that was allowing her to see curses. She was offered a place at jujutsu school to understand as her cursed energy seemed to center upon her uterus area. She refused wanting to continue with her life as normally as possible, she was given protection talismans to keep curses at bay.

After attending a competition within her final year of high school she noticed a curse was persistent in following her and attacked her. It resulted in a pregnancy, a being that was half curse and half human. Contacting the Jujutsu sorcerer again for help of an exorcism and abortion as well as accommodation, her family had found pregnancy tests and than thrown her out in a fit of anger.

It was revealed with some digging on the Jujutsu managers part that Chiyo was distantly related to a woman who had been recorded over 150 years ago who had the ability to give birth to a half human and half curse child. Since the ostracizing of this woman and child the ability had trickled down to the family lines for another more suitable user or trigger, almost as a curse it's self.

Chiyo was a cursed human than user, curses would follow and stalk her for the chance to be incarnated or evolved into a flesh body.

She asked a hysterectomy but was refused as not an area of their medical teams field.

Chiyo refused a second time to join Jujutsu school for her protection and accepted their offer of covering rent for a place to live with a point of contact. She was given a one room apartment sealed with charms to prevent curses from getting in, a doctor prescribed birth control but a refusal for a hysterectomy due to age.

Chiyo finished her high school education but without money of her own or family's willingness to support for further education, Chiyo took up easy work jobs as a food delivery and courier to earn her own money to live on and for a private surgery. Her jobs sadly always took her near places curses resided some would travel and follow her.

Over time she noticed some curses would fight others and take over following her or protect her from other curses getting close. This did not mean she was immune from attacks and has had a further three abortions of a curse and human hybrids. Even on birth control it happened and her begging for a hysterectomy fell on deaf ears of the Jujutsu world.

Chiyo unbeknown to her the Jujutsu higher ups deemed her as usable bait to learn out unregistered or intelligence curses or sorcerers who wish to follow in the footsteps of the notorious Noritoshi Kamo.

After a few years Chiyo noticed a curse that walked on fours that followed her was getting stronger and keeping other curses at bay from her, without intent she started to feel some affinity with it and called it “Dog”. As it followed her like a stray dog after attention and had loyalty like one. Its appearance altered slightly as it grew more attached to her, it would guard the outside of her apartment and balcony from other curses and as she travelled about to and from work.

Dog rarely would let more than one other curse get close other than one that was similar to it's self though even then it could decide it was to close and battle it. Dog would even listen and obey simple orders that it almost was a pet.

Even with a protector the stress of constantly unsure if going to see a curse when doing deliveries she now works as a cleaner for two office blocks, modern buildings that only have small curses that Dog dispatches upon her request. She moved to a larger apartment still sealed from curses as money she had saved even a private doctor still refuses her a hysterectomy so she is counting the time until it happens and saving money for her life once it is all over.

Chiyo is okay socializing though she does not partake in alcohol and after her experiences has no interest in sexual activity preferring to be asexual, though she can feel some romantic feelings and crushes for idols or actors.

Due to living alone since 18 year old on little money she is a queen a budget cooking meals. Although curses cannot step into her apartment due to talismans they make a lot of noise meaning she can get very little sleep at night.

Chiyo still goes running as a hobby and way to destress.
