I wanted for so long to make a tribute drawing to Glenn Frey and finally came up with this design.
It's a tribute to Glenn that shows a picture of him in profile and inside the silhouette you can pictures of Glenn through the years in music which are suppose to respresent his memories with the Eagles & beyond.
In the background you can see a handsome eagle and below Glenn you can see the cowskull with the eagle wings which is from the "One of these Nights" album.
And of course below that you can the corner of Winslow Arizona with a flatbed Ford.
I decided that I wanted the background in black/white and the pictures of Glenn and also the cowskull in color.
That made Glenn pop more and the picture didn't look too flat.
I used, for the colored parts, soft pastel which are perfect for a nice & smooth blending & finish.
I didn't really go for a hyperrealistic effect with the pastels but I really loved the colors and the texture.
The rest was made in graphite and charcoal.
The music in the drawing video is a tribute to "Take it Easy" that I made and I thought that song fit this drawing very well with Winslow and the other Eagles related details in the drawing.❤❤❤🎶🎶🎶
