• Proud - First meeting and anyone who isn’t blind will notice this immediately. Kashim’s posture puts her confidence and pride on display for everyone to see. She will lie to save her own skin, but she’ll also keep every promise she made. Despite spending half of her childhood and all of her teenage years in slums, she isn’t one who begs. She refuses to be looked down and deemed weak or incompetent due to her gender and her smaller stature. But at the same time, this pride of hers tends to get her on the wrong side of many people in flash speed.
• Private - Kashim keeps not just her past, but also a lot of her thoughts to herself. So unless special circumstances happen, it can be rather impossible to pry those from her, especially the former. For years the young lady guarded her emotions like a dragon guarding its hoard, even if someone is to tell her to ‘loosen up’ she’ll have no idea how to do so. Though her ears and tail would give some of it away.
• Sympathetic - Children and youngsters who had been through a lot of hardships are her weak spots. She’ll feel the need to help them, or do something for them in general but 9 out of 10 times it will come out wrong since she considers those actions to be ‘out of character’ for her and gets very self conscious. Exception for those who are despicable.
• Alert - For a silent observer that appears disinterested at everything, Kashim pays a lot of attention to her surrounding, especially people and conversation. It’s like a second nature to her that she does subconsciously, with her brain automatically filtering and registering the information.
• Fighter - She’d been called ‘dead inside’, but that is very untrue. Kashim is more than ready to go to great lengths and fight for herself, for what she wants, for survival. Even if it means to take the life of another. Despite being a lone wolf, is it also possible for her to fight for a friend, rare, but possible.
• Persistent - Once given a task, she’ll see it through till the end, regardless. Kashim is hardly one who gives up quickly as she sees that as a burn to her pride. But first it has to be something that she finds to be worth her effort.
• Pessimist - On a general note. Kashim paints the world in a very dark shade of grey, that the slightest bit of light will be crushed without mercy. Has the tendency to belittle good natured folks, thinking that they are either fakes or idiots.
• Unruly - Proud, and a lone wolf. It isn’t that Kashim hates company, but feels that an extra brain would always interrupt her. She is simply impulsive in many things she does, with little to no planning and organization. Including plunging herself into danger just for the thrill of it. One is advised not to attempt to control her in any way lest they wish to get bitten.
• Socially awkward - Kashim has a serious, potty mouth issue. Thank lord that she doesn’t speak too often, but when she does, it seems as if she can’t get anything out without adding a curse along the sentence. Cultured conversation is out of the question. That aside, her curt and blunt replies usually leave no room for small talks. She might not be the most expressive person, but she does have emotions like everyone else. Just some are twisted and some dulled, all repressed under her stoic mask. Her reaction to being praised is walking away, getting frustrated, or even getting angry. Good side is, she doesn’t faze easily. Bad side is, it can be very painful to interact with her. Seduction will never work, ever.

Kashim and her brother came from a small village far to the east of Varlandia, a small settlement within the mountain range, away from other races. When she was 7, a group of slavers happened upon them, and the Miqo’tes were easily overwhelmed due to their small numbers. Their targets were mainly young looking females, able bodied males and children. Anyone who was too young or old were slaughtered, along with those who went against them. Kashim’s mother was among the latter, and her father was killed before her eyes when he tried to stop them from taking his children away. There were other slaves from other villages in the carriage Kashim was transported in. They were all brought to Jasper first, into a large smithery run by the slavers. No one cared if Kashim was too young for hard labour. The rule was simple: as long as the slaves were proven useful, they would be given food.

Three years later, a few of the slaves were transported to a larger underground smithery in Ivorium. Kashim and her brother were among them. It was a similar business operated by the same organization, supplying weapons and armor to the colosseum as well as fighters training. In this place, the slaves had little freedom and only the lucky ones could leave the smithery once in awhile so as to avoid attracting too much attention to this unlawful business. However, climbing up the social ladder amongst the slaves would definitely increase one’s chance. When her brother’s health deteriorated (improper diet, bad hygiene and back breaking works do that), Kashim started doing more than just smithing. Running errands, delivery, thieving, pretty much anything she could do to earn her a few more coins for the medicines. But those things were expensive and she couldn’t save up quick enough. Her brother’s condition became worse. He had tried to keep working so that the slavers would let him live, yet he still met with an unfortunate end. That became the last straw for Kashim. She beat the hell out of those who humiliated her brother’s death then escaped from Ivorium.

She had no idea which direction was the way home, and in the midst of being chased, she ended up heading towards the Forest of No Return. She was later found unconscious in there and brought to Larimear by Lorrant Alcott. After her recovery, and being exposed to what the guildsmen did for the Kingdom, she joined Invictus. Though her intention wasn’t as ‘noble’ as most others.

Chogan is a stead Kashim stole from a small band of bandits (of course no one needs to know this) just before she joined the guild. As of now she has yet to form any close relationship with it. The chocobo has a fearless personality and seemed to have survived many fights, those were the reasons why Kashim set her eyes on him.

- If she is comfortable around you or with the environment, she falls asleep or nap very often.
- The long scar on her face was done by her brother. When they were enslaved, he was afraid that the slavers would eventually sell her to a brothel, so he tried to ruin her face with a red-hot knife. The burn was infected due to poor hygiene and lack of proper treatment, which became the obvious and big scar that could still be seen after so many years.
- She has a lots of small, faint scars on her body, especially limbs and face. There are dark marks around her wrists and ankles where she was cuffed when she was enslaved.
- She is semi literate, in the sense that she can read better than she can write. She mostly recognises words as patterns, instead of seeing them as something built with alphabets. Since she rarely writes her handwriting is...terrible…
- Throughout her years working in smitheries, she’d handled many kinds of weapons, regardless of whether they were too big or too heavy for her. Blades and bare hands fighting were still what she is good at compared to others.
