I already feel the pain in my hand when I think about colouring the background.
But oh will it be worth it.

With everything! The details in this piece is fantastic, and wow... that background! Colour me fucking impressed!
I'm always impressed when people go beyond themselves and adds backgrounds and this amount of details; and girl, you've certainly impressed me in this one. It's also really nice to see your sketches as it gives a pretty clear idea of your method, which I appreciate.

Also partly because I tried some new colours on Basil's fur and I'm not satisfied... who knows what I'll do next!

No rush - I'm impressed with people who can leave a piece, go around for weeks or months, and then go back and finish it. Seriously, I'm dead-jealous. I really don't have the patience to do it, and it's really caused a bunch of my sketches to just remain sketches and nothing more :/
That said, I do hope you'll finish this at some point ^^

I love the background though. I suck at that, and I lose interest sooo quickly when I draw, I never really get passed the sketchy-doodle phase.
