Description
This little guy was a project I made for my sculpture class in 2012. I made Hitler, Stalin, and Mao; three dictators around world war 2. I think the premise behind it was like, what if I put this horrible men in a cute and cuddly light? And also I have a twisted sense of humor apparently, I made them. The bears took about a two days to make but their uniforms are what was kinda annoying haha. But also they all have a "cutie mark" of whatever symbol they most used. Hitler had a swastika on his foot. Stalin had a sickle and hammer on his hand, and then Mao had a red star on his foot.Sadly only Stalin's shirt was easily removable. I'll post him soon.
I was able to show them off at my school's art day thing, and SOOOO many people were so disturbed that I made Hitler, but it rather bothered me how very few people knew who Mao was. The people who knew were usually the parents or teachers. But since not enough people are educated in basic Chinese history, Mao got a ton of boobs. I MEAN A TON! Since Pandas usually are automatically loved...it's weird.

Unlike a lot of people we see the comedy in the terrible dictators being personified in this cute and cuddly form.

That is just the coolest idea ever. Yes, a little twisted but really cool! And the bears are super adorable despite who they're intended to be. Almost feel guilty faving it!

Haha Thank you, it's a simple enough idea, or at least I think so. Since Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt is where Teddy Bears got their name, and I remember some people made Theodore Roosevelt Bears so I was like...why not other people...and some how that went into Dictators and well known people of history

He does, it sucks that it's kinda hard to see since I used such a dark brown but he does have a mustache, it's the black square a little bit underneath his nose XD. Thank you

Haha, well for me it was rather a simple idea...since I've had an odd fascination with dictators. You should have seen my binder for geography freshman year...it was rather epic in my opinion...although it also had random Japanese rock stars and a Singaporean band on it haha. But I adored it. Thank you ^.^ It really fits my personality, I really should make more odd things but don't know what haha.

Omg, I can't believe I'm gonna say that, but I love how this Hitler bear turned out, I mean, he was an evil man, but I totally recognized his outfit when I first saw it. I guess the only thing missing is his mustache
And this about people were disturbed that you made Hitler remember me a brazilian song that talks about some great minds around the world (And Hitler was one, though he was a evil great mind) and adding that everyone was a baby some day, including these great minds, you and me. It's difficult to imagine evil minds and great artists, scientists, etc as babies and that's the goal of this song.

HAHA thank you, there is no need for shame. He does have a mustache though! I just should have used a lighter yarn but you can see it in the picture if you look under his nose. But yeah it's kinda hard to see. >_<
What song is that? I want to hear it now even though I'm sure it's in Portuguese XD. But yeah, people don't like to think of him in that light due to the horribleness that he did, but it's annoying how in America we allow Stalin to be thought as a nice man, since we were an ally to him but he killed more people then Hitler did which is astounding! But he was mentally insane >_< And along the lines of Hitler being a child, from what I've read about his past it seems rather sad. It is believed he was abused by his father.

It basicly says "know that everyone was baby" and mentions the names of famous people and then keeps telling these simple things everyone has or had xD "everyone had a childhood, everyone is gonna die, everyone had a mother, who has money and who doesn't," etc. I like this song, it kinda like a lullaby ^^
I couldn't found the complete song translated to english, but I can translate if you want, though most part of the song is made with names of famous people xD.
I don't get it about Stalin too. I guess the thoughts of Hitler were more strong? And not to talk about the power to convince people... I read about Hitler once and he was a very lonely boy indeed, after knowing that, I tried to read the Mein Kampf, the book Hitler wrote, but only could read a few chapters. I guess it was too bored for a 14 year girl

Why thank you, but I know when to be sensitive but there is always a time to laugh from our misfourtnune. Not to say that what all happened due to his hands was funny. But my teacher understood what I was trying to do. Although a lot of people did think of me as odd but it's okay. Thank you very much
