Скорее всего пальцы - самое просто, очевидное и трудоэкономичное решение, потому что на гибкие щупальца пришлось бы тратить кучу дорогостоящих и мелких деталей.
Я бы сказал, что они нужны для более тонкой работы, но, скорее всего, эти протезы не проводят копытокинез. Приходится дополнять их.
