When you had finally escaped the vicious school grounds and were on your way back home, you sighed heavily. Although it was a pretty nice day with sunshine beaming everywhere, it couldn't have looked any more dull to you than it already did. You just couldn't wait to go back home and relax for a while.

Just to ruin it for everyone, your school decided to drown you in papers you needed to hand in, club activities which were getting much more time consuming, exams you needed to study days and nights for, and frankly, everything had to be done before the break of next week.

Once you reached the familiar confinement of your home, you took off your shoes and threw your bag on the floor in ridiculously high speed. It'd be a lie if you said you could give a fuck at the time. Not even in for a minute, you heard the soft barking of a small Labrador puppy coming down the hallway, nearing you quickly. Your lips quirked up into a small, weak smile once the little creature lifted himself up and clung to your leg with his small paws. Kneeling down, you got hold of the happy puppy and placed him into your lap, caressing his soft, golden fur.

"Akihiko! Good boy!" You cooed as you caressed his back and stomach, while he leaned up to lick your face affectionately. After all the bullshit at school, you deserved a little happiness and thank God for this little peach. Taking him with you to your bedroom, you placed him in your lap again while opening up your laptop. Your day brightened up when you immediately got a Skype video call coming in. Once you reached out and picked up, you couldn't help but smile at the person who was the equivalent of innumerous days of sunshine.

"Hey, Sousuke," you greeted as you waved at him with the paw of Akihiko.

"Hey," he greeted back from inside his small dorm room, "How's my love?"

Still not used to his unusually cheeky nickname for you, you blushed slightly, "I-I'm good, thanks. How are you?"

Sousuke looked at you with those dreamy eyes of his and smiled his notorious warm smile, "I'm good, but better since I got to see you."

Waving yet again a cheeky comment off, you looked at Akihiko as he panted and reached out for Sousuke.

"Okay, just to break the ice here. Since when do you have a dog?" Sousuke inquired with a distraught tone in his voice, lifting an eyebrow to examine the creature filling up his screen. The practically black eyes of Akihiko stared blankly at the light-emitting device.

"He's not mine. He's my neighbour's, but isn't he the cutest?" you answered in awe as Akihiko chased after his own tail on your bed.

Sousuke didn't look very satisfied with the answer, but didn't let it show, "Hamasaki's?"

You shook your head, "No, it's Fujimoto Chikao's."

Sousuke nodded understandingly, "How long are you gonna take care of him?"

"He'll be picking him up later today, but I really liked having him over..." you pouted in dismay as you put the small puppy back in your arms, smiling at him as he complied happily.

Sousuke checked his watch and contemplated for a second, "Is it okay if I come over... like right now?"

Slightly confused, you tilted your head, the puppy mimicking your movements, "You can come over any time, Sou. But didn't you have an exam tomorrow?"

"I've been studying my bum off the last couple of days for that. I think I deserve to have a break with the person I love."

Taken aback by his lovely words, you blushed as he gathered up his backpack. "Okay, be careful. Love you," You smiled, waving at him as he flashed you a toothy grin and ended the call.

Luckily you had your dear fanfiction and the little bucket of sunshine to keep you company as you waited for the tall swimmer to arrive. Within half an hour, the bell rang and the irritating sound resonated through the entire house.

Wow, did he race here?

To be quite honest, you were pumped about the fact Sousuke had offered to come over. Your parents were out and that would mean a little well-deserved alone time with the gorgeous male.

Running down the stairs, you ruffled your hair a bit and went up to the door to open it. Your heart had tripled in speed and your breathing was instantly complicated by the mere sight of your boyfriend once you opened the door. Seeing him on a screen was nowhere near as good as seeing him in his whole real life figure. How he managed to look so dashing in casual clothing went beyond you.

"Glad you arrived safely," you smiled as he engulfed you in a tight hug, seemingly more affectionate and tighter than usual. Shrugging, you hugged him back just as much and inhaled the heavenly scent you could only describe as his; hints of shampoo but the chlorine still overpowering.

"Glad to see you again, love," Sousuke whispered in your ear, placing a soft and long kiss to your lips afterwards. There was something off about Sousuke, but you had yet to find out what it was. With his arms wrapped around your waist securely, he deepened the kiss, leaving you both breathless and speechless once he pulled away and left you standing there completely flustered.

Sousuke had made his way to your bedroom with a grin. He sat himself down on your bed and was immediately tumbled over by a very cheerful Akihiko.

"It seems like he's already fond of you," you chuckled as the puppy licked Sousuke's face in a loving manner. The warm and playful smile on his face, while holding the puppy up, was heart-warming to say the least.

Damn it, I'd probably die if he got any more attractive than he already was.

"So who's this Fujimoto Chikao guy I've never heard of?" Sousuke spoke up as non-caring as he could, while petting Akihiko in his lap.

"His parents and him have just moved here, but my parents have been friends with his for a long time," you answered as you came to sit down behind Sousuke on your bed.

He shrugged and put the cute puppy on the carpeted ground, "Ah, okay."

Wrapping your arms around his neck, you placed a feather light kiss to his bad shoulder, "How's the shoulder? Did the doctor tell you anything?"

"It's healing slowly, fortunately. But it's sure taking its damn time," Sousuke answered, slightly displeased at the injury that prevented him from swimming at his best.

"It'll be alright," you reassured. Massaging the flesh as delicately as you could, he closed his eyes and tilt his head back in relieve.

"If you continue like that, I might want to get my hands on you," he snickered, making you chuckle.

"If only people knew what's hiding behind the silent, nice façade of Yamazaki Sousuke," you narrated with a slight grin.

"You make me sound like some pervert," He chuckled, turning around and pushing you down on the bed.

Taking in his beauty as he laid beside you with his arms around me, you couldn't help but sigh contentedly, "You're so abnormally handsome, sometimes I'm afraid I'll have to swat away clingy girls and horny guys."

"I'm only yours," Sousuke grinned and pecked your cheek.

You nodded courteously, "Thank you kindly.''

''You're supposed to say that you're only mine also, you know?''

''Don't wanna,'' you mumbled, ''You already know it's like that...''

The next two hours were filled with much needed small talk, that led to absolutely nothing, deep conversations and playing around with an adorable puppy while being perpetually showered in warm kisses. While Sousuke had his face buried in your neck, holding you in place as you giggled and struggled to get out of his grip, the doorbell rang and in that instant you swore you could feel his demeanor change like the simple flick of a switch.

"That's probably Chikao. I'll get the door, you get the puppy," you said as you got up from your bed.

Sousuke shook his head, "No, that's alright. I'll get the door."

With a shrug, you got the puppy and soon followed Sousuke downstairs. When you got there, you saw him looking down, a disturbed and awkward expression on his face. A small brunette boy flashed him a smile and introduced himself to him, Sousuke just greeting back awkwardly.

"Hey Chikao-kun, here you go," you smiled as you got past your boyfriend and handed the short boy's pet.

"Thank you so much, (Y/N)-san! I hope he wasn't too much of a burden," the brunette boy said politely, scratching his neck goofily as the dog panted happily in his owner's arm.

"Absolutely not! Bring him again another time, alright? My boyfriend and I really liked taking care of him," you smiled as you pointed at the awkward Sousuke standing beside you. Chikao nodded with a smile and waved at the both of you as he ran down the street back to his house.

Closing the door behind him, Sousuke muttered to himself, "Oh my God..."

"You could've told me Fujimoto's like eleven or something..." Sousuke growled as he looked the other way, his brows furrowed in embarrassment.

Going up to him, you smirked as you wrapped your arms around his neck, "Yamazaki Sousuke, were you jealous?"

He spit it out after being silent for a good ten seconds, avoiding eye contact at all cost, "Yes, goddamn it. I thought it was some older dude trying to get close to you."

''And you show that by being extra affectionate? I'll try to make you jealous more often.'' With a slight peck on his rosy lips, you pulled him closer. Sousuke rolled his beautiful teal eyes and sighed a little exasperated.

Reciprocating his smug grin from earlier, you retorted, "The only pervert I allow close to me is you, however."

"Says the one who almost faints when muscles are in sight," Sousuke scoffed, his arms going around your waist to hold you securely against his built chest.

"Still, I can't believe you got jealous of an eleven year old!" You laughed and as a cue to change the embarrassing subject, Sousuke threw you over his good shoulder and went up the stairs back to your room.
