Finally finished~ I've been working on this one the longest of all my traditional media works... and I'm not satisfied of the final effect at all
To be honest it looks nothing like it was supposed to be >_> After epic fail with the background I was about to give up on this one
But being high of marker fumes I went ahead... and wasted a lot of ink refill 
This was the fun part actually...btw. I'm back to drawing lots of elves... and I'm not gonna stop XD
media: Copic markers and some Copic ink/blender, white paint... ah, and colored pencils for the lineart

Oh wow, it's so lovely! I really like the white higlights, and you totally should elaborate on those water stains -- I think those could be really, really nice effects, it's looking great already in the upper right corner!

Her hands give so much to this piece. The lower hand is such a tiny detail, but makes the whole piece feel really divine, like a painting of a saint. Gorgeous textures as well.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm HORRIFIED that you were on the verge of trashing this. D:
My favorite parts of this are the flow of her hair, the curlicues spreading from the crystal, the silky satiny look of her gown - especially on the bodice - and the watery layered background. Her face is stunning~ Her lips especially are lovely in shape and color both. The faint brown tint to her hair and the varying warmth of her entire figure are lovely contrasted against the cool background. <3
I love that one pale flowery bit over on the right. It reminds me of a chrysanthemum. Ooh, it's like looking down through a thin sheet of ice speckled with some fluffy snow into a magical underwater garden~

Well, we are our own worst critics. I think it can be good, because it helps drive us to improve. ^^ And then hopefully compliments from others help to keep us from losing hope and giving up art. *laugh*
Although even if everyone on the planet loathed my artwork, I couldn't stop anyway. I NEED to draw, no matter how much I dislike the results. It's a compulsion, almost. @w@

Well, that's true ^^ My problem is that I tend to forget that I draw because I ENJOY drawing, NEED to draw and that I do it mostly for myself. Yes, actually you can forget such things if you take this and that too seriously =/ Maybe I need to ease up a little XD

Oh, yes yes~ Do it for the LOVE~ X3 I never seriously considered pursuing a career related to artwork because (well for one, because I suck) I knew I'd lose my love and passion under all the stress and pressure. I have enough of THAT already! XD I need to keep doodling purely as a hobby in order to relieve the stress that comes with my graphics work and my regular job and my family and all that other life stuff. *hee*
