you had them growing in your backyard?? how nice is that? some old/original species grow outside here, but they are very very rare and protected. i bet your climate's a bit milder over there after all

Our climate is pretty hardcore in the winter, but they seem to love it here.

They grow natively here, and the province next to mine Prince Edward Island has them as their 'rovincial flower". They're protected, and a bit rare, they don't transplant or move very well at all. I've never seen anyone successfully grow them in a pot.
