The design and use of the watercolor is really nice, but I think having her leg fully extended like that appears a bit strange, and her far shoulder seems a little off. I definitely like the purple with brown; in fact, I use it pretty often. Her facial features and hair look well-drawn, and I like the way that you did some fashion choices with her outfit: giving her that 'fae' look. Very good job. Just know that you don't have to really alter the leg in future work, but keep in mind what is a comfortable pose for you, and maybe that will give some helpful insight for poses. I'm not really good at poses yet, but I definitely admire a lot of artists for their ability to transfer poses in motion or simply ones with flow to their artwork. Of course, faeries and sprites and other otherwordly creatures are often portrayed with more decorum and grace than we humans possess, but it's more emotional and connectable for the viewer to have a dynamic pose.

Thank you for the insightful and thoughtful feedback!

The weight placement and feeling of movement in a pose is something I am very keen on improving on. I associate faeries with dancing, swift movement, and an almost not-there if you blink they might vanish type feeling. I've been looking at a lot of animation work to try and become more fluid with my figure drawing and sense of weight in a pose. Glen Keane completely blows my mind with his ability to capture that sense of motion so well. And faeries also have that earthy sense to them, which artists like Brian Froud and Arthur Rackham just nail. A more natural feeling pose would definitely help with this, maybe more draped fabrics for wrinkles and different textures as well.

I'm glad you took the time to enjoy and critique my piece! It is always appreciated!

Glen Keane is really fantastic at what he does, and he has had a LOT of experience. I think most of us artists aspire to be someone like him. And of course, you're welcome. Again, I think your piece was successful. I just emphasize on dynamic poses - I also need to improve on mine a lot more.
