Description
Hi,I always wanted to do something about this subject, without necessarily following the exact mythology. I tried a very dynamic composition
I use Zbrush & Poser to create a baseline for horses and skeleton.

This is a striking piece of art, well-rooted in traditional art going back at least to the Medieval era. Yet there is something modern also. The whitish glow, the raggedness of the outlines, the metallic, spiky teeth, the burning eyes, all place this piece squarely in early 21st-century art.
The limited palette with the stark white, the blue/purple, and the red/orange cause the horses to emerge from the background with explosive energy. So much here is spiky, -- the trees, the rain, the manes, the teeth, the hair, the bones. The rounded parts seem limited to the joinys of the horses and riders, and the hooves.
This piece excites the terror and dread of what the riders symbolize: War, Famine, Disease, and Death, and does it with deep emotion, insight, and talent. This is only the second critique where I gave 20 stars , but it deserves it so much.

I think this piece is really well done, though perhaps the horses might look better in different colors? They're all the same white/ black socked.Though I know it probably wouldn't work too great with the dark atmosphere, but something to try, if you haven't already, and I notice you drew the horses hooves so that you didn't have to draw the underside (the bottom, where the horses shoes would go). Perhaps, on the second horse from the right of the image, the one that seems to be the closest rearing horse. You could alter to show that? Otherwise Good! <3

I understand the remark, but after some tests with differents colors I found here broke this feeling horde compact.

I wanted to say a lot more than what I was allowed in the comment box (silly max characters). I just wanted to offer it up as a chance to see what it would look like, the colors itself wasn't anything I was worried about I was just trying to be a good critic and offer up ideas.

I agree that you could try adding colours to the horses. They don't have to be strong colours, but just a small hint of them so they would look more like the ones in the bible. But otherwise i really love this picture!

Interesting! How do you combine Poser with Zbrush? Poser I have, and am thinking of getting Zbrush, but did not know they were compatible.

I think its a dope depiction , i wouldnt have made all the horses white though. I was copy according to translation and then maybe add some of my own concepts to it. Revelations is pretty exciting REV 6 And I saw when the Lamb+ opened one of the seven seals,+ and I heard one of the four living creatures+ say with a voice like thunder: “Come!” 2 And I saw, and look! a white horse,+ and the one seated on it had a bow; and a crown was given him,+ and he went out conquering and to complete his conquest.+ 3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature+ say: “Come!” 4 Another came out, a fiery-colored horse, and it was granted to the one seated on it to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another, and he was given a great sword.+ 5 When he opened the third seal,+ I heard the third living creature+ say: “Come!” And I saw, and look! a black horse, and the one seated on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 I heard what sounded like a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say: “A quart* of wheat for a de·nar′i·us* + and three quarts of barley for a de·nar′i·us; and do not harm the olive oil and the wine.”+ 7 When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature+ say: “Come!” 8 And I saw, and look! a pale horse, and the one seated on it had the name Death. A litlle critic : normally, they aren't all a skeleton, just Death (I believe). War have an armor, Famine is really, REALLY thin and Disaese seems to have any... disease of the world
But in fact, they are allegorical, so we can draw them like we want

there's only 3 horseman now: liez, salvation, and calio but we each have 4 vials, i also took wraith's blood straight from the source which gives that spectral appearance, souls can enroll in the horseman of the apocalypse journey but if they fail they're no longer horseman, but ryders
