Description I snapped this from my car window on my way to work one morning at about 6am. Now, I may be no great shakes as a photographer, but I happened to like it a lot. I think it's the red. I've actually taken a photo from this exact spot from every season so far except winter. And soon I'll have one of those too.

Wow, this is breathtaking. There are tons of Soyer's Lakes around.. I'm assuming this is in Ontario?

Thank ya. In Ontario, yep. This is the one in the Haliburton Highlands, right next to South Kashagawigamog Lake.

This is one of the perks of living out in the middle of nowhere. Lovely, unspoiled scenery.

Woah, I have a cottage on Kashagawigamog! Off of Old Allsaw/Carribou Lodge Road (different name depending on which side you go from). So many of my pictures are from there too, [link] [link] [link] etc.!

Can't wait to get back for May 24th weekend

Heh. Soyers Lake is the lake on the other side of the Allsaw Bridge, from Kashagawigamog. It's definately a beautiful area. And you've taken some really nice pics around there too. I hope you enjoy your summer up here.

actually only for the weekend since I'm going to BC for the rest of the summer, but yea.. beautiful! I'll be taking some more pictures then no doubt

Firstly, this gets a fave... right the hell now.

Whoa! Now this one is better than great. It's exceptionally great! I have yet to catch a sunrise/sunset with this kind of skill... probably because I'm not up at sunrise. Ever.

It's a really great shot... colours are great, symmetry is excellent, very well composed with a nice eyeline right down the center. Perfectly balanced.

I don't blame you for not being up that early. If I didn't have to work, I certainly wouldn't be up that early either! One bright side is that there's almost no traffic and I occasionally get to see sunrises like this one.
