Environments become much easier with time and understanding! Not so much even practice, more understanding and learning what populates an interesting scene. It also helps to think of it as 'environment' instead of 'background'. background implies something that doesnt need to be seen, something unexciting, filler, boring. Environment implies the setting, characters live and breathe and work and play here, They are where they are for a reason, exciting, interesting. It implies the who what where when and why a lot more than 'background' does!Β
