I've been wanting to experiment with pet portraits for a while to see if they'd be a viable commission idea (especially for people I know in-person). So here's Cheeso, an acquaintance's dog, as practice.

Ooh, boy, pet portraits can be a journey. Definitely not as fun as dragons for multiple reasons (dragons have more freedom to be bold/unique, have fun shapes/colors I'm more used to them, and I feel liked I'll stress a lot doing pet portraits) but I'm really happy with how this turned out (especially the neck fur).
