Description Well, I talked to this guy I know who has a more realistic style. I had him draw a body frame for me. I hand copied, and traced over it. It came out opposite to the norm. Normally, I do the face and the proportions (kinda) well, yet will utterly fail at the clothes. Seemed to get the opposite this time... damn broken looking leg.

Well, if you can do one right one time and the other right another, all you have to do is do some repetitive drawing until you can draw them both good in the same piece! xD

Copying/eyeballing/ect. is pretty helpful at getting the hang of anatomy and such when you first are getting the hang of drawing arts. (Anyone who denied they eyeballed or traced in the beginning is full of bologna.)

I suggest though, that along with other people's work, you do the same with photographs, because even though a lot of aspiring artists eyeball at the BOOTIFUL DISNEY ARTS or KAWAII ANIME or whatever else when drawing their first works and whine that THEY DON'T WANT TO DO REALISM LEAVE THEM ALOOOONE!!!, refing photos is a lot more helpful in the long run and help you avoid common errors that people pick up when they are refing stylized works. It'll also help you get the feel of drawing more 'lively' poses rather than characters standing stiff and awkward. ...I had a heck of a time shaking off my anatomy issues I had acquired whilst referencing various other wolfs artists way back when.

Normally, I'd give you a red line (I can't remember if I or Skit have explained to you what a red line is, but if we haven't, it's pretty much when someone draws over one of your works to point out/correct the errors to help you improve), but my laptop is being fixed at the moment and there isn't a good amount of space to use my tablet on this computer desk, so instead I'll awkwardly describe my critiques.

His pose feels unnatural; his top half seems to be in a more casual pose but his lower half seems to be in more of an actiony/fighting stance. Past the elbow, his arms (including his hands) are too small for the rest of his body, and his fingers are too even. His legs are a little on the short side, and his knees are misplaced (they should be halfway down the leg, giving about an even thigh/calf ratio).

On the plus side, his chest has a good shape that makes him actually look male (most people when drawing guys just end up drawing boobless girls or squares with heads), the folds on his clothes are drawn well and going in correct directions (other than the three folds on the upmost part of his chest) and other than what I mentioned the proportions are pretty good. :]

PLZ XCUZE N E OF MY TIPING EROARS, YOU KNOW I AM SPECIAL WHEN IT COMS TO GRAMERS

Yeah, I knew that his legs were freaky. And when I showed it to the guy who did the frame I used as reference (which actually had almost no detail on the legs, class ended) He told me that the legs were too short, and, while it would seem odd at first to draw the leg on Nihil's right bigger for perspective.
