When you guys began walking again, Hiro was spending a lot of time on his phone. Your friend and Austin were deep in conversation, so you looked over Hiro's shoulder at his phone.
"Whatcha doin'?" You asked playfully.
"Hush, Isabella." Hiro laughed. "I'm trying to contact Baymax to help us out." Hiro lowered his voice to a whisper.
"Hah, NERD!" You whispered loudly.
"Once again, hush." Hiro laughed again. "I'm gonna see if he can respond. It's kind of testing the new telecommunication program I programmed into him."
"Wow, so he can communicate virtually through your phone?" You asked.
"Yup. Any phone who has the app you install from my computer." Hiro bragged a little.
"Dang... You really are a genius." You hugged Hiro from behind.
Hiro blushed. "Okay... Baymax is responding. His response will appear in words here, but it reads what he says verbally. Kind of like Siri. The reader is programmed into him instead of a phone, though, which was much cheaper."
Little words appeared on the screen: "What do you need, Hiro?"
Hiro typed "Matchmaking."
"Matchmaking?" You said. "But they're already together."
"I know. But Baymax will only respond here to key words. We can explain further when he gets here." Hiro explained.
"All right." You said. You turned to look at your friend and Austin.
"You been to that dentist who gives you Good Patient tokens?" Your friend asked Austin.
"Yeah. I've traded them in for bracelets and bouncy balls." Austin said. He pulled a blue bouncy ball out of his pocket. "I play with this when I'm bored in class."
Your friend laughed. She pulled another blue bouncy ball from her pocket. "Me too!"
Hiro handed his phone to you, which had a GPS image of your location. A small alley was between some buildings, and two small alley paths led to it, where, from the image, you could tell old shipping boxes were stacked.
You whispered a plan to Hiro. "It may be a long shot, but we can try it. Tell Baymax to go to that alley intersection."
"Ok." Hiro agreed, and typed something to Baymax. The next minute, he walked over and grabbed Austin's arm.
"Dude, I saw something cool back that way. I was gonna show you but forgot. Come on."
"Oh... Okay." Austin said as Hiro led him away.
"Think I should join them?" Your friend asked.
"Nah. Hiro told me what it was. It was a joke and I didn't get it, so there's no way you will." You said quickly.
"Yeah, probably not." Your friend agreed as you kept walking. When you got to the alley path, you reached into her pocket, took the bouncy ball, and threw it down into the alley.
"Dude! Why?!" Your friend laughed as she ran after the ball. You saw another ball bounce into the alley.
"Good. Hiro threw his, too." You said to yourself. You darted off, then returned a bit later. Hiro walked from the opposite side of the street and joined you.
"C'mon. We don't have much time." Hiro said. You ran into the small college hall building next to you, and, since it was empty, ran upstairs and onto a small porch just over the alley. It had metal stairs down to the alley, so you avoided those as to not make clanking sounds. You both tiptoed to the railing and peeked over. Your friend and Austin were both walking back from where they had last seen you.
"They ran off." Austin said.
"I'm not surprised. Sounds like something (Y/N) would do. I bet she and Hiro planned this." Your friend said.
"Sounds about right." Austin said.
"So... Think we should go find them?" Your friend asked.
"Nah. They'll probably give up and come get us." Austin said. "For all we know, they wanted alone time, too."
"How much you wanna bet she's tearing his shirt off right now?" Your friend laughed.
"How much you wanna bet he's doing that to her?" Austin laughed harder.
You and Hiro looked at each other, slightly embarrassed, then looked back.
"Well, what should we do?" Your friend asked. "We can't just stand here."
"I guess not... But I'm enjoying standing here more than you would think." Austin said.
Suddenly, Baymax waddled over. You air-high-fived Hiro.
Baymax looked at your friend. "(F/N)'s emotions consist of 80% love, due to boyfriend, 19% temptation to kiss boyfriend, and 1% frustration, from being set up by (Y/N) and Hiro."
Your friend blushed. "Baymax! Why..."
Baymax scanned Austin. "Austin's emotions consist of 80% love, due to girlfriend, 19% temptation to kiss girlfriend, and 1% frustration, from being set up by (Y/N) and Hiro."
Both Austin and your friend turned lobster red. Baymax flew off.
"So... We match. Twinsies." Your friend stuttered awkwardly.
Austin laughed awkwardly. "Yeah. Cool, isn't it?"
They both fell silent. You and Hiro watched, as if this was the climax of a movie.
They both stared at each other for what seemed like forever. You nearly died when you heard your friend speak.
"Um... Let's go find Hiro and (Y/N)."
"Yeah. They probably got lost." Austin said. They both ran off in opposite directions.
You ran back inside the college hall with Hiro.
"Noooooo! No no no no!" You turned to Hiro. "Just... Bruuuuuuhhhh."
"I know! I can't believe (F/N)!" Hiro shook his fist. "And when I see Austin, I'm gonna... Just..." Hiro pretended to throw a punch.
"C'mon. Let's find them. The day still isn't over..." You said as you walked down the stairs. "We may not need Baymax, but we still gotta keep them alone."
