These are some of the Animal Crossing inspired charms and jewelry I make, and now that Animal Crossing New Leaf has come out, you can once again buy your own set in my online shop here: YellerCrakka Charms and Jewelry!

The charms are all completely handmade of polymer clay and painted with acrylics. The earring charms are about the size of a dime (approximately half an inch tall), and the necklace charm is slightly larger than a quarter (approximately an inch and a fourth long). The details of the fossil are fully sculpted, as well as painted, and the veins in the leaf are carved and painted on both sides, for added depth and realism.

I always like the idea of having earring that don't exactly match, but are of the same theme, so that's why almost all the earrings I make aren't the same. On the left earring, there's a tiny Pitfall Seed charm, in the center, there's the mini Leaf charm, and on the right we have a little bitty Fossil charm. Then on the necklace there's the large Leaf charm, complete with a little bite taken out of the side.

I've been dying to make a new Animal Crossing set for years, but when I finally got City Folk, it gave me the push I needed to actually do it. The charms are a little larger, but I'm extremely happy with how they turned out, especially the Fossils, they're the cutest things ever in real life. With the release of New Leaf for the 3DS, it's motivated me to make a few more batches of these, but I'll also be making some new items, once I out the game down and actually start sculpting again, haha!
