As for the "objects" that keeps the archangel Gabriel, the Orthodox tradition lily rarely portrayed, mainly in the scene of the Annunciation. Most often, the archangels are holding batons and transparent sphere with the initials of Christ. They are symbols of Christ power. Archangels Michael and Gabriel are often depicted on the right and left around Jesus Christ in glory, or around the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus.
Pipes angels and archangels are holding a lot about the scene of the Last Judgment.
