Probably the most striking element to this piece is the great focus and composition. There's a very nice framing vertical with the left male, and a framing horizontal with the other male. All of it combines to create a very original feel for a usually cliched love portrait.
I also like that you incorporated a color harmony with the purple shirt against the yellow flowers and red buildings against green elements. Again, this helps to unify the piece and move the eye around collectively.
It's a very tender moment that was captured and the viewer truly feels something besides the obvious. From the subtle expresses of a hand against a chin, to the urban scenery, the whole piece is very effective in it's approach and execution.
Where I feel the piece would have been stronger is if it were taken in a different, more dramatic, evening or early morning light. The current lighting is far from bad, but again, I feel it could be stronger with different lighting.
And I have no idea if these couples were models or not, however, while I feel the male lying down is very natural and possesses a tender element, I don't much care for the expression or the energy of the other. Although he does contribute that great contrast and framing element to the technical feel of the piece, the emotional and impact derived isn't as powerful as it could be.
He just seems very stiff for such a capture. Nevertheless, I feel it's a technically solid and capturing photograph. Well done.

I saw this image and thought that it is very good from the photography side of things (thats all I will comment on, because no offence, but I am definitely straight). I don't want to be biased though, because the image is really good. The models seem very comfortable and the poses are good and relaxed. The setting is great, with the bench, the colors, the flowers and the buildings at the back. This all works together nicely and makes the frame full of detail and interest. The image is nicely composed, the exposure is good and the colors are good.
There are a couple of points that I would improve though:
1. I think that the focal point is not good here. The thing that seems to be in focus are the guy's jeans, which doesn't seem right. Their faces should be sharp (probably the person's sitting up), to bring more focus to them and their personality. The photo is not pin sharp because of that. The focal point is the real let down - hence the lower rating for Technique
2. Also, I think that the vignette you have added is slightly too strong. I would make it a bit smaller - I like the idea, but at the moment it is slightly overwhelming the image.

I love this picture so much! It is beautiful, touching, and sensitive. Being a Transgender Woman as well as bisexual, myself, I totally find this to be romantic and lovely in every way. If more people could se us LGBT in such a romantic and human way, we would be much more accepted I think. I am happy that you created this work of art, and I thank you deeply for sharing it with us.
