Liam:
Slowly the door was pushed open. Everyone else was focused on the happy Alex and Charlie, but Liam saw it. Then Liam saw a slender metal object.
"NOOOOOO!" the yell burst forth and Liam was shocked by his capacity to make a noise that loud.
The blue-haired boy with the gun whipped around pointing the gun at Liam so the boy could see down the barrel. Then Tom's eyes widened as he took in the boy standing to the right of Liam. Liam caught the heat of the glance and stepped in front of the boy he loved to shield him from the gun the blue-haired dictator was now pointing at Michael.
Tom:
No.
That was not Michael. Did he have no friends left?
Tom opened his mouth and croaked, "Michael?"
Then he found his words.
"Traitor." Tom spat, "Coward. You betray me now but how long till you switch your allegiance to keep yourself alive? I would offer your life in exchange for renewed service but like a coward you let someone else stand in front of you."
'Why doesn't Liam move?' thought Tom, 'Do I really want to kill him?'
"He's not a coward, Tom," said Liam quietly.
"Move, Dryden," said Tom sharply, more than a little surprised.
"Liam, he's right," said Michael quietly stepping from behind Liam, "Tom, you're right I am a coward. But so are you. You killed millions because you weren't brave enough to tell a boy you loved him."
"Lies," screamed Tom tears forming.
"Well, I won't fucking work for a coward," said Michael quietly, "I choose the Nerdfighters."
Tom fired a shot from shaking hands but Liam pushed Michael down. Then suddenly someone grabbed Tom from behind. Before anyone knew what was happening there was a bang.
When everyone looked up the floor was stained red.
Ed:
"Tom," an agonized voice whispered.
"Tom," a bit louder.
"TOM," a scream pierced the air.
Everyone was staring as Ed cradled a lifeless Tom in his arms, sobbing and covered in blood.
'I'm a murderer,' thought Ed and it tore at his chest like a knife.
"Why, Tom?" whispered Ed kissing the bluenette gently on the lips willing him back to life.
