Description A selection of alien organisms from the planet Crysta, an Earth-like planet providing a very similar condition for life to evolve and diversify as much as in our planet. The alien species here shown are not to scale.

Order starting from top left, and going clockwise towards bottom left:

1. Black candy brokerflush - This species of deep sea hunter has converged immensely with Earth's anglerfish. Lacking pectoral and pelvic fins for steering, however, these are specialized for a nektonic lifestyle, utilizing their fish-like physique to their advantage. With a powerful set of jaws, that sports a menacing set of dermodents, this creature has among the strongest bite forces per body size of any flush species. It utilizes an elongated bright pink appendage at the top of its head to attract unsuspecting prey. It measures 30 centimeters in length.

2. Blue-collared lineslob - This small invertebrate has no legs, moving and behaving much like a terrestrial slug. Breathing air, this creature measures just 4 centimeters long, and feeds on vegetation. It is viviparous. Utilizing a bright blue collar, this creature can display itself towards potential mates, during the mating season.

3. Southern erect globbersucker - This creature is found in southern temperate latitudes and measures 80 centimeters in height. It has a surprisingly anthropomorphic shape, but it is only convergent to humans in that sense. It is a creature that walks largely in secluded tundras, utilizing its prehensile clawless hands to rip off soft vegetation. Its mouthline is a vertical slit, and inside hides a large array of cheek dermodents that grind the vegetation. They also have a preference for eating globbers, the technical term to describe Crysta's fruit plant analogues.

4. Purple-headed black vayler - This species of vayler is an inhabitant of dense equatorial rainforests, and measures 100 centimeters in length. This is a specialized carnivore, utilizing a set of retractable jaws that can extend its mouthline further to the front, allowing it to grasp smaller prey. It has a powerful set of low dermodents that pierce through the skin and sinew, with a pair of large frontal sabre-like dermodents forming a sort of cage preventing the prey from escaping, and also providing a much more serious damage. Thanks to this, this formidable predator can subdue most of its required meals all by itself.

5. Western desert rocker - This creature, despite appearing like an insect, it is part of the terrestrial vertebrate analogues of Crysta. It has an extensive cover of segmented external armor, that protects it from predators and other hazards of the environment. Living in hot deserts, this species measures just 8 centimeters long, and utilizes a dense set of rugosities across the inbetweens of its segments that collect moisture from the air, keeping it hydrated. It can withstand a long period of time without food, and its mouth opens at the top of the head, as its main source of food is desert foliage.
