Greetings,Months on, and the Warcraft movie still continues to inspire my artistic studies.
Quite pleased to have ticked this demonic painting off my ideas list.
My focus on improving contrast and sharpening the finishing in digital art is gradually yielding results.
Medivh is a tragic suffering character, and I'd have appreciated a more explicit exploration of the 'inner demon'.
But, given the available time, I felt there were enough hints for movie!Medivh's inner struggle.
About 5 hours, greyscale to colour method.

I wasn't familiar with the story whilst playing WoW, but the movie led me to find out more about it.
Shame the demon was only on screen very briefly.

Yes, it really has been. I was in a real funk before then but suddenly found the drive to draw again after the movie. It meant a lot to me.
Reminded me of a simpler, more joyous time all those years ago.
Please do see it if you get a chance. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but still a very entertaining film.
