You need to break away from "lolipop" syndrome with your necks. XD I've noticed that your characters look fine from the front, but when it comes to profile views, your necks make the heads look like they're just placed on them. The dude's neck should begin from the eras to be anatomically correct. You can still pull off the stylized skinny neck that way, but it needs to be pulled back some more. As far as the dog, it looks too cat-like. It's like you stretched out a cat face and placed it in a dog-like shape for the head. I think you should study your own dog's expression or google "happy dog". the "mew" smile" is what really takes away from the dog-likeness. Typically, a dog would have it's mouth open with it's tongue sticking out. If it's mouth is closed, it should have a longer smile to compliment the snout. As far as colors go, you really nailed your color pallet. Your digital painting skills have really improved and your have nailed color harmony. The hair even just looks so shiny and smooth it's like you want to touch it. I think if you where to push the paintings even further would be to play with different colored outlines rather than just using black.Using black as the only outline can sometimes flatten a picture too much. Ome example would be say with the black cat. Instead of using black as the outline all the way around, try using a grey outline where the cat's "highlight" is. It's merely a suggestion and certainly worth playing around with.
