"It seems like the sheriff and his deputies has mistaken me for the likes of you!"
This was a fun, albeit very time-consuming, curio to do. I had already drawn Trinity (left) before for a currently ongoing art project , and I wanted to do some sort of doppelganger concept in light of her and Peyote (right) having both having green hair with curls. Peyote's bandit / outlaw nature allowed her to easily slot into the "dark/evil/Shadow" position, while Trinity took on the "good/hero/Sonic" role that's being framed. Honestly, the story just writes itself from that point forward.
All that said, trying to replicate the Sonic Adventure (2) proportions and especially the aesthetic was very much a self-imposed challenge. Lots of redrawing to make the poses dynamic and appropriately noodly (taking more from the first Adventure game's artwork than the sequel), and it took even longer to do a decent approximation of the way the characters are rendered/shaded. Pretty sure I still don't quite understand it.
