Holly is Muggle-Born, her mother is a witch and her father is a Muggle.Β 

I believe Ashley is full witch (although littlebityamelie would know better!)Β and Dora Flammel is definitely 100% Witch .Β  I imagine she also pilfered their wands in order to get control.

Ashley is a half-blood, a pure-blood and a muggle-born parents . And yes, Dora's very pureblood, in fact she's one of the last living descendants of Nicolas Flamel (her little sister is the actual youngest.)

Oh I could imagine Dora using a big of magic to control the scene And Holly and Ashley are both experienced riders, so they know how to balance side saddle, although their down four appendages than normal!
