Das Licht verschwand 

und mit dem Wind 

ertönt ein neuer Klang - 

ein stiller, kühler, weit gereister - 

es ist der Wintersang. 

Von Düsternis der Nacht 

umhüllt zieht er ein Tuch durchs Land

.. 

und wenn das Licht wacht, 

morgens einst, 

erstrahlt des Sanges Pracht.
