Come along children - We're going on an outing!

St. John's Chapel is a Romanesque chapel located on the 2nd floor of the White Tower, the oldest part of William the Conqueror's powerful fortress. Alternate versions of this postal card have described this underground space to have been a dungeon, but historical records have proven it was used for stores of documents from the Royal Exchequer (and an occasional body.    )
