So cute!
I commissioned this from Xenny just a couple of months ago, it is of Rainbow Brite.
Rainbow Brite was a great kids show from the 80s imho - it was all about spreading colour and joy through the world and had just the pluckiest little heroine who never gave up, even when things seemed hopeless (and they often would, at least once per episode). And the friendship between her and human friend Brian was just too cute.
Its complete series is available on DVD (well, what episodes still exist on video, at least), if you never saw it in your childhood, or are too young to have seen it, I recommend checking out this sweet little show.

She looks very cute! I've seen some drawings of her on this site but I didn't know she originated from a TV show. I never watched it of course, I had not been born yet at that time, heh.

Oh yes, Rainbow Brite did have a TV series for a couple of years, 1984-85. Like many other characters in the 80s, she was used in merchandising - by Hallmark Cards - and then got her own cartoon show. Sadly, something like half of her episodes got lost in the late 80s and so the "complete" DVD set of her series contains only the 13 episodes that still exist (and they're in a pretty bad state, especially with the warping of the original soundtrack. If you listen to the episodes, you'll hear the music warbling up and down every few seconds! xD)
Hadn't been born at that time, eh? Yeah, that makes me feel old...
