omg I love the end result of this x"DD -- even though it's a very very simple animationIf anyone has any tips in keeping the quality sharp when resized to 50x50 icon I would really appreciate it aaa

As for quality with gifs when resizing: Are you using PhotoShop?
If so, when you go to Image > Image Size, in the Resample Image option select "Bilinear".
Here's the quality difference between your icon and your 300px gif when you use Bilinear to scale down to 50px.
