I was commissioned to do a seasonal illustration for something. I had a lot of fun with this one. Originally I thought about working with themes such as the Spirits of Christmas from A Christmas Carol, but I wanted to make it less specific.You can definitely see aspects of my neighborhood in this, too. I love the first snowfall.
Maybe I should have made the spirit a little more transparent. But that could just be my brain remembering how many rulers were used in the city background. At least FIVE.
It's actually snowing here in Montréal right now!
