Description Super old drawing of mine, this drawing was made in 2001, yes that was 12 years ago!! time flies! so I evolved a lot since and it’s far from perfect so I wonder if I should make some actual labyrinth fan art but this has the charm of being so old and haved popped out from one of my dusty folders recently, still as I am in fact still a labyrinth fan and some people asked about my old labyrinth fan-arts, here’s a snippet of one of them. JarethxSarah forever! About people asking where my song covers of Within You and As the World falls down are, Within you is sadly not in youtube anymore due to their policies with covers, but if anyone is interested privately in listening to it, feel free to write.

regarding the labyrinth covers, I don't hold the copyright of the song so I feel afraid of posting them in youtube, Within you was there for years with no claim, and my friends, the Frouds worked in the movie and knew about it, but as youtube policies have changed I felt compelled to quit that and all covers due to a random claim in one of the tribute covers (a ghibli one) I felt very saddened but I shall find a way to re-share them somewhere, regarding the mp3 of within you I can email it to you if you want, as the world falls down was finished but never shared so I keep it still till knowing how or where to.

This is really good. I can't believe you've evolved a lot from this. I'm so jealous. xD I mean a lot of people are good but I think you nailed their faces and the colors so well. And to draw someone cry isn't that easy neither. You just make it look easy. ^^

You're so kind, I don't think the resemblance is perfect but still I didn´t use any reference, I was simply watching the movie when I sketched it. I'm not that kind of artist that makes perfect resemblances though, not even today. By then colour pencil was my favorite media, and I feel inclined to return to it.

I know their not perfect but you certainly got the mood right. I think they show a lot of emotion in this pic - like you said you watched the movie at the same time - and that shows! They share a really powerful relationship even though they have just met.


Sketching is the best things I know about artists. xD Best results are accidentally made that way.

thank you, I have tons of dusty folders with drawings that were made this way, I am nowadays more known as musician and I recorded recently a cover of As the world falls down and felt like in the J/S romantic mood again. Still youtube has turned really harsh on covers even if they are non profit heartfelt tributes and thus deleted all covers and never uploaded the new laby one which has only been shared with a few friends, including the Frouds (that were involved in the movie) and that I know personally as we´ve coincided in some concerts and events.  I always wanted Jareth and Sarah together, we all wanted, we don't care it was unconventional lol. I like to dream a Sarah a couple of years older had made that possible, Jareth has too much lure, he's more a tormented romantic hero than a villain in fact LOL

That sounds awful. :< Stupid youpoop. I didn't know you play? Or was it sing? Either way you sound multi-talented. ^^

I love them as a pair too. I'm not sure about the 'tormented hero' though. xD I think he was the villain until he met Sarah and he couldn't quite express his feelings for her because of the obvious gap between them. I think the ballroom-scene shows this perfectly: The only world where they can be together is a dream. So he's a villain in love which doesn't happen often. Sarah would be the only reason why he'd try to be the hero.

you migh be right, because  he never stops being himself, neither  but I don't think he's such a villain, not when I listen and watch "within you", some sparks of true care show there.

omg, is that you singing? that is truly amazing! o.o It reminds me of - idk if it's stupid but - game music like Metal Gear Solid - actually it's not the same at all now that I was listening some again but I like to picture music belonging to somewhere and in this the game-music was the first thing to popped into my mind. x3 Hope this doesn't offend you - I mean it as a compliment. That's how little I know music. ^^'


Anyways, I know my fiancé would love this too. And I would be interested in the Labyrinth songs myself. Yosh, thanks, yes it's me singing. Actually I don't know the music you refer too because I confess I'm not much into games, of course it doesn't offend me, though I guess the similarity is casual. Sure I'll send you the old "within you" it was a simple version but was in youtube quite a while, as the world falls down was recorded too but was never shared it, i'm studying how to, shall try to send it your way later on.

My story with illustration is that I always thought I would become illustrator and then I became musician but making illustrated music albums LOL hahah LOL so now half of the people know that I draw and the other half that I sing lol but though I keep on mingling both facets in the CDs it's not really clear to anyone haha LOL I don't even know what I am anymore either LOL and thus I've been in music for the last decade, oh my god time flies!

thank you,  in the late nineties I even made a comic book called "yidneth" which main character is slightly inspired in Jareth, it is not him but I can see his influence on him, that project gave name to my label and I'm today mostly a musician (yidneth.com) specialized in fantasy music but I still paint specially for my released album booklets and for personal comissions.

oh it was a fun time, I used even to write labyrinth fanfiction by the time hmm I have a picture of Jareth without the big hair LOL kind of wet under the rain lol hahah need to locate it , and I couple more of j/s ones, . I know how to play and sing all laby soundtrack, I was intending to share it all in youtube, within you was a long time and as the world falls down was about to premiere, but they're now picky with non profit tribute covers and I couldn't risk my official channel with music I don't have the copyright shall find a way though one day to re-share them.

Yes, date is in the signature, I made it watching the movie 12 years ago, time flies. I'm mostly known as a musician now and I had the luck of having the Frouds to attend several of my concerts so I could play some labyrinth song for them. I used to have Within you and As the world falls down but youtube is now picky with covers and right now the mp3 are unlisted again, and  I left only my original music in my site, but dying to re-share them. I have some more laby fan art in the dusty folders, guess I should scan some, but somehow I feel also the drawing and my way of painting is a bit outdated now.
