For those of you who frequent my livestreams, remember how I wouldn't shut up about how this was "my luckiest nuzlocke run ever"? Well, do you guys also remember how, several months ago, I'd mentioned how we'd be meeting my favorite teammate sometime before Cerulean Gym?

Guess whooo.

The truth is that I did catch something on Mt. Moon (the geodude was just a cover-up). Do know that this wasn't my first attempt at a FireRed run. I had started about three runs prior to this--playing as myself, usually--but I'd always get bored and quit in or around Cerulean City (mainly because I never felt any attachment towards my pokes). It wasn't until I came up with the idea of playing the game while pretending to be Ken (who was an unused RP/fanfic character at the time) that I started having a bit more fun.

I saw capturing Pecks as a refreshing change from all the pidgey I had always ended up with, and trying to name everything like an 8-year-old made for an amusing twist on the game. It wasn't until Mt. Moon that I encountered my first ever "ultra rare" pokemon in a nuzlocke. There's a 1% chance of encountering a clefairy on Mt. Moon, and with gender ratio included, the chances of encountering a male clefairy are 1 in 400. It was such a rare and awesome opportunity, it was at that point that I knew that I was going to go all the way with this run. In the end, I decided to name him after the famous pokemaniac and to pretend that I had never actually rescued Bill from his clefairy form. Plus it was too perfect, teaming up the greatest mind in the pokemon universe with a dumbass like Ken. XP

Bill immediately became my favorite teammate, which ultimately led to this becoming my favorite run. So essentially, you can thank Bill that Kick@$$ Mode exists.

Things should become entertaining, I think.
