Description After the file was deleted unceremoniously from wikicommons I feel i had to re-upload the file but this time to a website that won't delete it.

An Explanation on what is the H.E.E.:
I made this flag 11 years ago as part on a story i'm writing on Alternative History.

Basically, The Holy European Empire, is a (obviously fictional) mega-country that replaces the European Union in the near 21st century future. It is built on the basis of a new political ideology that presents itself to be the cure to the ailments of populism and the ongoing political crisis of governance. A Solution which is called "Democratic Technocracy". It is based on the Idea of creating a balance between the votes of the uneducated masses who form the electorate, with the demands of the professional technocrats.

In it, The HEE is a Constitutional Monarchy - chosen to be so in order to help connect the past with the present and the future and thus give the people a sense of continuity. Aside from the monarchy there are the traditional Three Branches of Government - Cabinet, Parliament, & Judiciary. When there are elections, the electorate chooses a party or a coalition thereof with a certain agenda (left or right); than the role of creating public policy is taken from unelected bureaucrats and is replaced with professional technocrats. They, in their turn, create public policy based on the proposal that has the most merit and reliability in its design + it is also the most popular among the professionals that study it. (as in the body of scientists) = this way, the best possible outcome is the one that gets the most peer-review and as such it is considered to be the most beneficial to the greatest number of people affected by it.

Vexillologically, i chose to incorporate the Blue Background of the EU to symbolize it as a continuation thereof, The Laurel Wreath to symbolize Greco-Roman Civilization (which is considered to be one part of the western civilization), and the Cross within a circle (to represent Christianity - the other part) and Fleur de lys in the middle to represent Constitutional Monarchy - which is another part of the H.E.E.
