This is my photoshop mockup for the portal of a project I have just begun work on, YouMonde, an international pen pal networking site with an emphasis on learning new languages and encouraging cross-cultural friendships.

The site will be based around Invision Board and a modified version of slipy's upcoming "[EC] Date" plugin along with a portal and translation features.

Most pen pal sites out there right now are poorly designed, not very powerful, and some even charge for membership. This will be a purely non-profit, volunteer-based project with a heavy emphasis on an interface elegant and easy on the eyes.

I'm also hoping to have it translated into every major world language at launch.

Seeing as this is a project in progress with the aim of ending up online, no nicking any of my assets or your ass is grass, Creative Commons-style. YouMonde.com is MINE so don't even think about parking it. All stocks are listed above and property of their respective owners - they will not be used by me outside of devArt unless I can get permission, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
