i just dont get it
and katara in book 3 episode 12 was just kick ass
she is soooooo bitter XD
used a screencap from that episode as reference and just winged it with he colors... the screencap was fuzzy and dark
oh and this is also my 300th Deviation!

Well, in this particular context, no.
There is no romance meant to be shown in this moment here, regardless of how others ship the characters, there is a difference between actual aggression and, I suppose, "angry flirting"? Β I'm not sure what else to call it.
As a shipper of couples that start out enemies, I understand the difference - but that has taken years of reading and understanding of, ya know, humans.
Although I do not agree, I understand where the idea of this ship came about - given the average age of the shipper at the time of the show airing.
Young minds are just that, young and undeveloped - not finished. Β Life experience does tend to show the difference between actual dislike and confused feelings.
We were taught for many years that if a boy teases you and hurts you by pulling your pigtails, he "does that because he likes you"
Encouraging such behaviour does no favors to either person as one thinks it's ok to be treated like garbage and the other thinks is ok to treat that person that way.
Anyways, I'm rambling.
This is not considered romantic.
Now or otherwise.
She meant every word and if he had tried to hurt her friends she would have hurt him back.
She has known great loss and at this point in the story, grown with great and wonderful power that she commands extremely well.

I really HATE Zutara 
Yeah, 'cause it's logic that when a person (Katara) hate another person (Zuko) who tried to capture and, maybe, kill her and her companions for all 3 seasons exept 5 episodes, they fall in love. U_____U

I don't get Zutara either. Kataang is way better. Besides, Mai and Zuko go together. Aang and Katara are like the perfect pair in the Avatar world. They look adorable together. I don't get why some people are into Zutara, it never happens. Good job and keep it up.

Katara and Zuko have what they call an unspoken love.
first there are bitter, mixed feelings between the two. Zuko loves her but is embarised to admit it. afraid she might still hold a grudge.
katara had feelings for him in the end of book 2. but was hurt when he betrayed them and she doesn't want to go through that again. even though deep down she stills cares for him.

I'm not attempting to invalidate your opinions. I'm merely suggesting that if you make the effort, it's easy to "get" a ship like Zutara. You just have to approach it from a different angle than you would, say, Kataang or Tokka.

I am actually a huge Zutara fan but this picture made me laugh and I definately get how people could be confused by Zuko and Katara together. I guess it's just preference; I personally don't get Kataang.

I don't get Zutara anymore either. I could sorta see it in second season, but we all know how that ended, anyway we have had that conversation before.

I would say she is acting rather mean but not "bitchy", Well I mean Zuko was an "Ass" as most fellow fans
from tv.com and avatarspirit.net chat fourms troughout 2 1/2 seasons and did something horriblly stupid in
Crossroads Of Destiny(season 2 finale). Human nature for Katara to get angry. She acted the same on Jet.
Just alittle later...she forgave misunderstood Jet. Ah well just wanted to bring up a point that had been killing
me ever since people remotely hated katara after 312.
